Merbolin Fluorescent Paint

Definition It is a solvent based topcoat paint containing fluorescent pigment.

Uses of... It is used for the identification of an object in the light (for example, on road traffic cones, highway warning signs, the tops of high buildings and chimneys, sea buoys and lanterns, steamer chimneys, various toys and sports equipment).
Specifications Resistant to atmospheric conditions, it enables the determination of the painted object by means of the violet light on it. They are four times brighter in sunlight compared to other colors.

Thin Down Ratio : It can be thinned with 10 - 15% Merbolin Fluorescent Paint Thinner, depending on the application.

Application 1 Application surfaces must be solid, dry and clean. Metal surfaces should be sandblasted to Sa.2 or preferably Sa.2½. A single coat of Merbolin Antirust or Merbolin Synthetic Primer should be applied to the surface. (Preferably white should be applied).
Application 2 12 hours after anticorrosion application; Depending on the application method, Merbolin Fluorescent Paint is thinned 10 - 15% with Merbolin Fluorescent Paint Thinner and applied in two layers with a brush, roller or airless gun. Wait 24 hours between coats.
Storage Conditions It should be storaged in original and closed containers at 5 - 35 °C temperatures. It should be protected from extreme heat and moisture.
Important Notices

Paint must be mixed before the use.
The ambient temperature should be between 5-35 °C at the time of application.
Application tools must be cleaned with Merbolin Fluorescent Paint Thinner, after the application.
After the application, the painted surface must be protected during
3 days, from chemical and physical factors.
Paint doesn't empty into drains.
Application procedures defined above should be strictly observed.
